Natural Tinted Lip Balm
Today I will talk about tinted/or non tinted lip balm.
Easy to make and made with all natural ingredients.
You can't wait to put make up !!

Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp of Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp of Beeswax
  • 1 tbsp of Shea butter or Cocoa butter
  • Optional : If you prefer to add sense, a drop of your favourite essential oil
  • Optional : If you prefer to add colour to your lip balm, natural food colouring

When you add colour, for red hues : beet juice, raspberry juice, pomegranate juice, start with one drop first and see how the colour changes and add more if you like. A little goes a long way!  1/8 tsp of beet root powder is also good for red colour. For brown hues : start with 1/4 tsp of cocoa powder, a tiny pinch of cinnamon or turmeric to get the shade you like. For orange hues : juice from carrot. For dark blue/purple hues : simmer purple cabbage and get juice from it. Or natural food colouring with no chemical additives for any colour.

How to do
  1. Melt the Coconut oil, Beeswax, Shea butter or Cocoa butter in a glass jar sitting in a pot with simmering water (not boiling) and stir gently until melted. (be careful not to get any water into the mixture)
  2. When the mixture is melted, add essential oils or colours if you use it. (be very careful not to add too much colours, start with one drop)
  3.  Place it in containers to store. This recipe will fill about 6 small tins.
  4.  Make sure cool it down before use.
